Grimsley Goods

Does your family need FREE additional food and/or clothing? Grimsley High School is excited to continue Grimsley Goods for the 2024-2025 school year. 

Grimsley Goods distributes shelf-stable food and produce (when available) to Grimsley families and gently used shirts, shoes, pants, hoodies, blouses, scarves, and hats in sizes appropriate for high school students available during open hours, as well as to students DAILY throughout the year. All items are provided at no cost.

  This site is the go to hub for all information pushed out by the Grimsley Counseling Department including scholarship information. Seniors should also check their student emails regularly for new information Ms. Zemaityte sends out. Juniors should also check their student emails and the hub for Junior specific scholarships.

• The 2025-26 FAFSA is now live!

• Career and College Promise offers North Carolina high school students the chance to earn college credits at a community college campus. The program is tuition-free for high school juniors and seniors (semester fees will be due). You must have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.8 or higher or passing test scores.

  Students can earn:

  • College credit transferable to all UNC System Institutions and many of NC’s Independent Colleges and Universities
  • A credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career

  It is important that you and your parent/guardian watch the entire recording.

   

  Once you and your parent/guardian have viewed the Admissions Session:

  • Determine your Career and College Promise Pathway – Write the Pathway name and Code on your Verification Form. Please refer to the Dual Credit Allowances Document for information on how the high school credits dual courses.

   

  There are two types of Career and College Promise Pathways:

  o College Transfer Pathways – GTCC offers nine different college transfer pathways

The North Carolina Governor's School is a four-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses on each of two College campuses. Learning focuses on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline, and it does not involve credit, tests, or grades. Students are selected to attend through a competitive process with multiple rounds of selection. Juniors are eligible to apply to any of the disciplines, while Sophomores can only apply for one of the art disciplines. Contact Ms. Robinette by email (ROSSL2@gcsnc.com) with any questions.
